A Letter To Mama

Dear Mama,

You’ve been away for eight years

During your absence, I’ve shed a lot of  tears

You guided, molded and shaped  me

That’s the way it was  meant to be

I  miss your tender touch

For it means so much

You were a wonder to behold

A story waiting to be told

Your memory will linger forever

You were a calm, cool breeze in stormy weather

A bright light in a dark place

You gave me strength to finish my race

Dear Mama,

I wouldn’t change anything If I could

For everything occurred as it should

I won’t take your rules and lessons for granted

They were the seeds planted

I’m here because of you

You taught me everything I know

You helped me grow

I’ll always carry you in my heart

You were there from the start

What you said will resonate until the end

There’s no need to pretend

Until I see you again

Rest peacefully Mama
