I awaken to the rising sun

I give thanks and prasie for my blessings

Each and every one

I’ve remained strong

While moving along

I’ve embraced my dreams

And there are more on the way it seems

I’ve tasted the sweet nectar of success

And the bitterness of failure

When others thought I was done

I held on to my principles

I’ve avoided fear

By keeping God near

One thing is true

God has brought me through

I know which way to go
