At daybreak I saw the sun peep through my window

I thought of the joy I’ve come to know

I said a prayer

Because God was there

I thanked Him for a second chance

As I did a praise dance

At daybreak I showered and dressed

I refused to be depressed

I know God will keep me strong

As I move along

I can see my way

Because He guides me every day

At daybreak I thought about what I wanted to do

And all that God has brought me through

He brings out the best in me

That’s the way it should be

My life gets sweeter every minute

Because God is in it

At daybreak I saw the writing on the wall

I’ll answer God’s call

That’s my purpose

It just came to the surface

I have no regrets

My journey continues as God planned

I’ll hold His hand

I embrace all He’s done

He’s second to none

As He holds me in a warm embrace

I’ll thank Him for His grace
