I woke up and felt more joy than I’ve ever known

I looked in the mirror and saw how much I’ve grown

I showered, dressed and had a cup of joe

Counting blessings is all I know

God has filled me with strength

I always pray at length

In the process, I discovered something new

I have to change my point of view

I proceeded with my day

God stayed with me every step of the way

It was the right thing to do

I thank and praise God for all He’s brought me through

I take nothing for granted

The seeds have been planted

God tells me to remain strong

I take heed as I move along

Each day is better than the day before

A passion for life fills me to the core

God is my guide

My gratitude I can’t hide

I’m not reeling

I’m simply expressing my feelings
