I took a walk with God

It was as sweet as could be

He told me how much He loves me

He dried my tears

He eased my fears

He planted a seed

I listened to Him and took heed

I took a walk with God

And it was a pleasure

He comforted me beyond measure

He turned me around

Put my feet on solid ground

He taught me what I needed to know

As a result I’ve begun to grow

I took a walk with God

And it was the best thing I’ve ever done

He’s second to none

I felt His power

As we talked for an hour

He made one thing clear

He’s always near

I took a walk with God

Yes it’s true

I thanked and praised Him for all He’s brought me through

I’m in a better place

Due to His guidance and grace

I have no regrets
