I’ve been through the fire

Down to the wire

I’ve been dejected

I’ve been rejected

But always protected

I’ve been shamed

I’ve been defamed

But I know my name

Others counted me out

But God left no doubt

When I reached my wit’s end

He showed me where to begin

When I lost my strength

I talked with Him at length

He filled me to the core

I’m going back for more

I’m in a different zone

God won’t leave me alone

I have a long way to go

Challenges will help me grow

I’ll take a stand

As I hold God’s hand

For I have been tested
