I woke up this morning

Heart all aglow

God told me what I needed to know

He started the conversation

Without hesitation

Right then I knew

I had to change my point of view

I’m in a better place

Thanks to His guidance and grace

I woke up this morning

Without an ounce of fear

I knew God was near

I had a delicious meal

While faith sealed the deal

I know what rings true to me

I’ll be the best I can be

I’ll break every norm

And weather every storm

I woke up this morning

And saw a shinning light

I’ll fight the good fight

I see my purpose

Coming to the surface

For that I’ll give praise

For the rest of my days

I saw something dawning
