I’ve been through the fire

Down to the wire

I’ve gone through tribulations

And faced various situations

I’ve dealt with obstacles

Before I saw what was possible

But I’m grateful

And I know God is faithful

I’ve been scorned

I’ve been shamed

I’ve been defamed

I’ve dealt with the the pain

Cause I knew what I would gain

Faith turned me around

Put me on solid ground

I’m grateful

And I know  God is faithful

At times I’ve had to weep

Silence I couldn’t keep

Suddenly I gained strength

As I talked with God at length

As I held His hand

He knew what I could stand

I’m grateful

And I know God is faithful
