I awaken each morning

Heart all aglow

Faith taught me what I know

I have a talk with God at length

Our conversation gives me strength

I proceed with my day

With God leading the way

I face what each day brings

That entails a lot of things

I don’t despair

Cause God is there

I continue my journey

As ordained by God only

His heart is pure

He makes me feel secure

As I look in the mirror

It all becomes clear

God planted the seed

So I take heed

I ignore negativity

Life won’t get the best of my

God is my guide

My gratitude I can’t hide

I have no regrets

Life is as good as it gets

I see purpose

Coming to the surface

I can also feel it

And I’m in the spirit
