I start each day with a silent prayer

I can plainly see God is there

His love is pure

He makes me feel secure

I start a journey

Ordained by God only

I never know what I’ll find

But I know He’s one of a kind

He taught me what I know

The lessons have helped me grow

He eases my pain

He relieves the stress and strain

I feel His power

Hour upon hour

He gives me strength

When we talk at length

I fall and rise again

But God shows me how to win

Things get better every day

Thanks to the guidance He sends my way

I take nothing for granted

My view isn’t slanted

I’m on solid ground

Thanks to the joy I’ve found

It’s certainly true

Me and God can make it through
