In the midst of pain

I see what I have to gain

I kneel in prayer

Cause my God is there

As He works things out

I keep God near

He provides a firm foundation

In any situation

To what we share

In the midst of confusion

God drew the conclusion

I’m on solid ground

Thanks to the joy I’ve found

I take a stand

As I hold His hand

In the midst of His presence

I see His essence

It’s a guiding light

It makes wrong things right

I embrace it fully

It brings out the best in me

I have no choice

But to stand and rejoice

As I celebrate in His midst
