I follow the path laid before me

Cause that’s the way it should be

The road is long

But faith keeps me strong

I learn many lessons along the way

And I pray every day

God wipes my tears

And eases my fears

I see what I can do

And all that God has brought me through

I take nothing for granted

I water the seeds planted

After traveling from place to place

I finally arrive at a safe space

Due to God’s guidance and grace

As I look in the mirror

My purpose becomes clearer

I embrace it

I live it

My voice I raise

In a song of praise

For my trip was ordained by God only

I call it the journey
