I’ve been through the fire

Down to the wire

I’ve endured heartache and pain

To see what I could gain

I’ve fallen and risen again

But faith showed me where to begin

And I’m still here

Some thought I wouldn’t last long

But prayer has kept me strong

I’ve been scorned

I’ve had my heart torn

I’ve been shamed

I’ve been defamed

But I’m still here

I’ve had rough patches along the way

But I get better every day

Sometimes I cry

But I understand why

I’ve learned many lessons

I’ve  made several confessions

And I’m still here

Life has made me who I am

It isn’t a sham

The world will see

The real me

Without fear

I decree and declare

I’m still here
