I’ve had a lot of heartaches

I’ve had a lot of headaches

I’ve been through the fire

Down to the wire

I’ve gone through more than you know

My experiences have helped me grow

Therefore, I am at peace

I though I wouldn’t last long

But faith keeps me strong

I’ve been shamed

I’ve been defamed

But I’m the one God claims

Therefore, I am at peace

Nothing will change the way I feel

I live it with zeal

I have a clear view

Of what God’s brought me through

He’s turned me around

Put my feet on solid ground

Therefore, I am at peace

 

Smile. You have a lot to be grateful for.

As I look in the mirror of my mind

I see everything I left behind

Prayer pulls me through

And I change my point of view

I continue to grow

As I share what I know

I learn many lessons along the way

And I get stronger every day

It may seem strange

But everything’s changed

Life is grand

I’ll hold God’s unchanging hand

I see that God is one of a kind

His heart is pure

He makes me feel secure

He’s turned me around

And put my feet on solid ground

I’ve embarked on a journey

Ordained by God only

He’s made His will clear

I hold it dear

I acknowledge what’s in my heart

Stop worrying. God has everything under control.
