As I embark on a journey

Ordained by God only

I can clearly see

What’s truly meant to be

I learn lessons along the way

I get stronger every day

l take a look in the mirror

And my purpose becomes clearer

Sometimes I’m rejected

But I’m always protected

No matter whether I’m wrong or right

I fight the good fight

God is always around

He keeps me on solid ground

I’m faced with naysayers for sure

But my heart remains pure

Everything’s set in stone

God won’t leave me alone

Through heartache and pain

I have a lot to gain

Nothing stays the same

But I know my name

Just look around and you’ll see

God will give you the tools you need to do what He’s called you to do. Trust Him.

Oh God, you’re a wonderful counselor

A wonderful counselor indeed

You give me everything I need

You’re the flame that lights my way

It grows brighter every day

There’s no need to fear

Whenever you’re near

God assisted me with my recovery

Faith is the key

Your voice and loving touch are etched in memory for sure

The guidance you provided was pure

You were the epitome of what a mother should be

You brought out the best in me

With a steady hand and plenty of affection

You steered me in the right direction

So brave, selfless and strong
