In the middle of the night

I say a prayer

Cause I know God is there

I feel the essence

Of His presence

It’s so pure

It makes me feel secure

I count my blessings

While I do some confessing

God’s grace stays with me

I become the best I can be

I embrace the unknown

Cause that’s how I’ve grown

I spread a love

Sent from heaven above

I see what’s real

And I live it with zeal

I learn hour upon hour

I don’t deny God’s power

I rejoice

Cause that’s my choice

God carries me to the next day

I praise Him along the way

I think of what I’ll face

I know I’ll finish my race

For I know what’s right
