When I’m alone

I approach a man on a throne

He offers love, guidance and protection

Without any projection

He makes it clear

That He’ll always be near

He shows me what can be

He brings out the best in me

I feel His power

Hour upon hour

Talking with him at length

Gives me strength

I prepare for another journey

Ordained by him only

I wonder what I’ll find

His presence gives me peace of mind

I stumble along with way

But I continue to pray

I learn a lot of lessons

I make several confessions

I see my purpose

Come to the surface

I finish my race

At my own pace

It makes me smile

Cause I know it was worthwhile

I know I can win

I do it again

And I call His name

Without an ounce of shame
