Heavenly Father

I come to your throne of grace

There’s no better place

To make a confession

I might learn a lesson

I went astray

I couldn’t see my way

I embraced what I thought was the norm

Instead I went through a storm

Father forgive me for my sin

I’ll never leave you again

I thought the world was better

While not knowing you to the letter

Whenever I was in despair

You gave me tender loving care

I couldn’t feel your power

Yet it’s been with me hour after hour

You created me

And now I see my destiny

I was head strong

I’m sorry it took so long

To acknowledge your presence

As I take in your essence

I know you’re there

Please hear my prayer

Forgive me for my sin
