As I reflect on this day

I want to say

I’m thankful

Thankful for blessings granted

And for the seeds God planted

He’s been present for sure

He makes me feel secure

He dries every tear

And eases every fear

It’s plain to see

He brings out the best in me

I’m thankful for life lessons

That come after confessions

Right or wrong

They keep me strong

I carry them everywhere

Cause I know God is there

I’m thankful for life

As I deal with strife

I gain strength

By talking with God at length

I feel His power

Hour after hour

That’ll all I know

It helps me grow

I’ll go to my grave

Cherishing the love He gave

And in a loud voice

I’ll rejoice

Because I’m thankful
