My heart feels joy and pain

I see what I can gain

I go through the fire

To obtain what I desire

I learn along the way

And I pray every day

It may seem strange

But my path only God can change

I feel joy and pain

I see the purpose for the rain

Challenges come and go

But challenges help me grow

I fall and rise again

But faith helps me win

I know where I stand

I’ll hold God’s unchanging hand

I feel joy and pain

No need to explain

It’s part of life

God will remove the strife

He’s always  there

With tender, loving care

His guidance and grace

Will take me to a better place

My voice I’ll raise

In a song of praise

For the rest of my days

As I embrace what I gain
