Day and night

I fight the good fight

I travel a long road

And God carries the heavy load

I smell the roses to show I care

I look over and see God standing there

We begin a conversation

He protects me without hesitation

His love fills my soul

And His touch makes me whole

Day and night

I think of my journey

God never leaves me lonely

He walks with me

He’s who He proclaims to be

I learn many lessons as I go

The lessons help me grow

Despite some pain

I see what I can gain

I know what’s real

I live it with zeal

And whether I’m wrong or right

That’s what I do
