Some think I’m cruel

But I follow the golden rule

Some think I don’t care

But I have a lot to share

Some think I take things for granted

But I water the seeds I’ve planted

Some think I don’t know where I stand

But I hold on to God’s unchanging hand

Some think I don’t know what’s real

But I live life with zeal

Some laugh when I stumble

But the experience makes me humble

I can find my way

I pray every day

I know what’s true

I see what God brought me through

Some think I don’t know my own power

But I talk with God every hour

It’s plain to see

He brings out the best in me

Right or wrong

He keeps me strong

I follow His lead

In order to succeed

Some think I’m strange

But I know I’ve changed

I know God’s love is pure

I feel secure

I do everything I should

I’m just misunderstood
