I lie still in the night
Wondering if I’ll be alright
I look up at the ceiling
Then reveal what I’m feeling
It doesn’t take long
And somehow I stay strong
Suddenly I stand
As someone takes my hand
God is there
So I say a silent prayer
As I try to sleep
I begin to weep
The sobs come fast
I wonder if they’ll last
In the midst of uncertainty
I wonder what’s best for me
I search high and low
For something to help me grow
God is there
So I say a silent prayer
I go through the day
Come what may
Sometimes I stumble
But I always remain humble
I learn several lessons
As I make my confessions
It isn’t easy
But fate pleases me
God is there
So I say a silent prayer
