I awaken to the morning sun

I count my blessings

Each and every one

I say a silent prayer

And I see God is there

I proceed with my day

As He leads the way

I take nothing for granted

I water the seeds He planted

I take life lessons with me

I see what’s meant to be

I fall and rise again

But faith helps me win

I smell the roses while I can

I know it’s part of God’s plan

That helps me grow

And I share what I know

No matter what I do

Nothing will change my point of view

That shouldn’t be surprising

As I thank God for a grand rising
