I woke up one day

Seeking a better way

I was in the wrong place

And needed a new space

I heard God calling

My pretenses began falling

It was easy to see

What I was meant to be

Then my journey began

God simply said you can

I learned a great deal

It seemed so surreal

I carry those lessons

As I make confessions

I needed a new view

Despite all I’ve been through

God changed my mind

He’s one of a kind

My new outlook

Was all it took

To see where I needed to go

I’ll share what I know

I’ve got a new name

I wear with no shame

I have a foundation

God built without hesitation

It’s better than anything on earth

I call it a rebirth
