At daybreak

I open my eyes

To a beautiful sunrise

I say a silent prayer

Cause God is there

He sends me on my way

And watches me all day

I gain strength

As I study His word at length

He lets me know

There’s room to grow

I embrace His love

As sent from heaven above

It’s the only way

To get through each day

At daybreak

I learn valuable lessons

As I make my confessions

God can clearly see

The good in me

I count every blessing

Without a lot of stressing

God’s will is clear

That’s all I need to hear

It’s my daily guide

My gratitude I can’t hide

Right or wrong

I know where I belong

As I continue my journey

I’m ordained by God only

He creates a plan

As He tells me I can

I know it’s true

I see what I’ve been through

Life gets better

I love Him to the letter

And cherish the memories we make
