I’ve searched for a kind soul

Until I became whole

I’ve gone through the fire

To obtain what I desire

While being dazed and confused

But never abused

I’ve lost my way

While praying every day

Then God found me

Now I’m where I need to be

I’ve fallen and risen again

But faith showed me how to win

I’ve shed a lot of tears

And held a lot of fears

While chasing my dreams

Until I burst at the seams

I’ve been left for dead

Yet I still got ahead

I’ve let the past go

For what I know

While understanding pain

And what I’ll gain

I know what I feel

And I know it’s real

I’ll keep going

While knowing

God is on my side

And that I say with pride
