After midnight I say a prayer

I see signs that God is there

Right from the start

He warms my heart

He dries every tear

And eases every fear

He clears up confusion

And it isn’t an illusion

He has a plan

He tells me I can

The next day

He sends me on my way

He fills me to the core

Then offers me more

Yes, He’s my guide

My gratitude I can’t hide

I continue my journey

With Him only

I love Him with all my might

It’s a wonderful sight

And I bask in His light

After midnight
