Some people think I’m mean

While others think I shouldn’t be seen

Some think I’m rude

And some think I’m crude

But I follow all the rules

Some try to see my heart

But they don’t know where to start

Some don’t understand my way

But I have a lot to say

Some want to keep me down

But my God is always around

Some just don’t see

What inspires and motivates me

Some try to read my mind

But peace I always find

Some don’t know what I know

And what has helped me grow

Some want me to bow down to defeat

But faith makes me feel complete

I stand and rejoice

In a loud voice

Regardless of rejection

It’s all about perception
