On the surface

I may not say much

But I know who I touch

I know my own power

And I talk with God every hour

Nothing gets in the way

Of my praying every day

I have no fear

Cause my God’s always near

On the surface I may seem shy

But I know the reason why

I embark on each journey

As ordained by God only

I see my purpose

Coming to the surface

It’s part of God’s plan

He uttered the words you can

He holds me close

When it matters most

I’m in a better place

Due to His guidance and grace

I’ve found my purpose

As I look on the surface
