When I look

All I see

Is the love for me

The gorgeous smile

That last a while

And the hand

That spreads joy across the land

I see the ways

I can cherish my days

And I see fire and rain

And all I can gain

All I see is the journey

Ordained by God only

The various lessons

That become confessions

I see life in its splendor

And what I’ll never surrender

I see strength

In talking to God at length

I see God’s plan

As he utters you can

I see God’s grace

In a special place

In the end

I won’t pretend

Cause I know what will be

And that’s all I see
