I lost my way

But I prayed every day

Didn’t know what I had

Which made me sad

I searched high and low

For what would help me grow

I searched for peace

That I wouldn’t release

I searched for solid ground

Before I turned around

I lived in fear

Didn’t know God was near

Couldn’t find a special place

Where I could see God’s grace

It took a long time

To reach my prime

Then I got there

With tender loving care

I haven’t been the same

The world knows my name

I don’t regret the lesson

That is now my confession

It’s there for a reason

I’ll carry it every season

Cause I’m starting over
