When I reflect

There’s nothing I neglect

I say a prayer

Cause God is there

I count my blessings

Without stressing

And I cherish every day

In my own way

I think of a journey

Ordained by God only

I think of tears I’ve shed

And moments I used to dread

Al the lessons

That have become confessions

And peace of mind

Which is hard to find

When I reflect

I think of how I’ve grown

And what I’ve always known

I think of every physical and mental scar

And how I’ve come this far

I think of a place

Filled with God’s grace

I think of chance

To do a victory dance

And what I’ll protect

As I reflect
