I see footprints in the sand

As I walk across the land

They show all I’ve known

And how I’ve grown

They show everlasting love

As sent from heaven above

The love is real

Something I can’t conceal

They show God’s will

And why I can’t be still

I see footprints in the sand

They show faith is the key

To being all I was meant to be

They show the storms

And all the norms

I’ve broken

And blessings as a token

They show the way

I get through each day

And the incredible journey

Ordained by God only

They make clear

What I hold dear

And the world will understand
