Woke up with the sun in my face

So glad I’m in a safe space

I said a prayer

Thanked God for being there

He sent me on my way

I smiled the entire day

Naysayers I ignored

My dreams I explored

And they began to reveal

What my heart couldn’t conceal

I took my blessing

Without a lot of stressing

It was about the purpose

I saw rise to the surface

I felt a love

Like heaven above

I took my stance

Did a victory dance

And was glad to know

How I could grow

Tender moments were found

I was on solid ground
