Long Way Home

It’s a long way home

So I’ll let my soul roam

I’ll reflect on precious time

That I had in my prime

I’ll embrace the love

That felt like heaven above

And travel far

As I reach for a star

It’s a long way home

So I’ll say a silent prayer

I know God is there

I’ll gain strength

By talking with Him at length

I’ll share what I know

Cause that will help me grow

And I’ll take a stance

While doing a victory dance

It’s abundantly clear

There’s nothing to fear

So I’ll let my soul roam

Cause it’s a long way home

If I Could See

If I could see

What was meant to be

I’d say a prayer

Knowing God was there

I’d spend my days

Changing my ways

And I’d forget the past

While making every moment last

If I could see

The best of me

I’d lift my voice

As I rejoice

I’d embrace every blessing

Without a lot of stressing

And I’d see my purpose

Rise to the surface

If I could see

What God planned for me

I’d try to celebrate

What makes life great

I’d smell the roses

See what the scent exposes

I’d find solid ground

Then share the joy I found

And I’d find a place

Filled with God’s grace

If I could see
