I see the shining light

It shines day and night

It burns while I pray

It follows me every day

It keeps me strong

It teaches me right and wrong

It’s God working consistently

He loves me unconditionally

And the light lets me stand

As I hold His hand

I see the shining light

I watch it with all my might

It comforts me

It show me what can be

It’s a gift

It gives me a lift

I’ll never let it go

It taught me what I know

And it fills me to the core

Until I want no more

I see the shining light

It’s wonderful and rare

It’s full of tender loving care

It teaches lessons

It provides confessions

It stands proudly

As I praise God loudly

I’ll never lose

It’s God I choose

And I won’t fight

As I watch the shining light
