Woke up with a smile

Which stayed for a while

Never shed a tear

Cause my God was near

I’m filled to the core

Yet I long for more

I let go of the past

I make every moment last

And it’s easy to see

What’s meant to be

Spent the day singing songs of praise

Cause my voice I had to raise

Life is a gift

Which gives me a lift

I’ve come a long way

From what hurt me every day

But I’ve learned lessons

That have turned into confessions

I stop to smell the roses

While striking a few poses

It’s been a long time coming for sure

I feel secure

I’m on solid ground

Due to the joy I found

I’m no longer reeling

I’m healing
