The ladder represents a journey

Ordained by God only

The journey is long

But faith will keep us strong

The ladder is the purpose

We see rising to the surface

It’s what we can get

With very little regret

Lessons we learn will last

In spite of our past

The ladder makes clear

That our God is near

Despite heartache and pain

We know what we’ll gain

Every step we take

Is a memory we can make

God will lead the way

He watches us every day

He’ll fill us to the core

Then give us more

Only His grace and guidance matter

As we climb the ladder
