I kneel in prayer

God shows He’s there

He offers a kind word

The best I’ve ever heard

He prepares me for another day

In a very special way

He holds me close

When it matters most

It’s abundantly clear

I have nothing to fear

As the night continues

God shows different views

He is the light

That shines all night

It carries me through

No matter what I do

He rocks me to sleep

Without making me weep

His unconditional love

Is sent from heaven above
