As I look at what’s on the surface

I can clearly see my purpose

It fits like a hand and glove

It feels like heaven above

It stays with me day and night

It burns by candlelight

God leads me during my journey

It’s meant for me only

As I face naysayers

I say my prayers

It calms and sooths me

It shows me who I can be

I suddenly find solid ground

I share the joy I found

I sit in peace

Peace I don’t want to release

Right or wrong

My faith keeps me strong

I make abundantly clear

What I hold dear

It fills my soul

It makes me whole

I make every moment last

I learn from the past

I remember what I saw

And it stays in the raw
