I waken to a new day

I accept God’s way

I embark on a journey

Meant for me only

I take in all I see

As I offer the best of me

I learn as I go

The lessons help me grow

Nothing stays the same

The world learns my name

I struggle with fear and doubt

But God works things out

I search the mirrors of my mind

And peace I do find

I take one step at a time

While still in my prime

The moment fills me to the core

Nothing pleases me more

I realize a purpose is there

I treat it with care

I’m not fragile

Although I have a lot to handle

I’ve gained strength

By talking with God at length

God takes my hand

As I walk across the land

He stays by my side

My gratitude I can’t hide
