I’ve been through the fire

Down to the wire

I’ve been shamed

I’ve been defamed

I’ve been scorned

I’ve had my heart torn

I’ve lost my way

But continued to pray

I couldn’t find peace

Didn’t know what to release

I forgot my purpose

Didn’t see it lying at the surface

I’ve stumbled here and there

Had no one to care

But then things changed

My life was rearranged

I took a stand

I held God’s hand

I started a new journey

Meant for me only

I can clearly see

My God given destiny
