At sunrise

I open my eyes

I say a prayer

Cause my God is there

I look at where I’ve been

I cherish way back when

I prepare for the next journey

Cause it’s for me only

I take each lesson with me

I’m where I’m suppose to be

I embrace life in its splendor

My joy I don’t surrender

Each and every sign

Shows me what’s mine

I feel God’s love

Like heaven above

I see my purpose

Rise to the surface

I make clear

What I hold dear

Each and every day

Is special in a way

I think of time

I think of my prime

Then I head home

Where I can roam

And once again

I open my eyes
