I see the stepping stone

It won’t leave me alone

It appears every day

It guides in every way

It shows God’s plan

It tells me I can

It’s the blessing I hold

It’s the story I’ve told

And it’s where I stand

While holding God’s hand

I see the stepping stone

That I know for sure

It makes me feel secure

It gives me strength

As I talk with God at length

It shows me the purpose

That rises to the surface

It teaches me lessons

That always become confessions

And it shows what I’ll gain

Despite heartache and pain

I see the stepping stone

And one thing is clear

God is always near

It’s the love I share

It’s the dreams I dare

It fills me to the core

Then offers me more

It turns a frown to smile

That last awhile

It makes me see

What’s meant to be

It lifts my voice

As I begin to rejoice
