Food For Thought
Give all your burdens to God and He will give you strength.
Rain
I see the falling rain
It takes away my pain
It reminds me of the past
And how precious moments last
I see how it got me through
And what God can do
The rain gave me strength
As I talked to God at length
It follows me every day
It’s powerful in its own way
And it lets me see
What’s truly meant to be
I see the falling rain
It takes away my pain
It’s part of a journey
Meant for me only
It soothes my soul
It makes me whole
It turned my life around
It put me on solid ground
With every step I take
It shows the memories I’ll make
It gives me time
To remember my prime
And see what I’ll gain
As I look at the falling rain
We walked through an open door
We were filled to the core
God gave us strength
As we talked at length
We learned along the way
We cherished the day
We found our purpose
Lying at the surface
We found unconditional love
As well as heaven above
And we began to grow
As our faith began to show
We walked through an open door
It made us see
What’s meant to be
Faith made us smile
The smile lasted awhile
We found a place
Filled with God’s grace
We listened to God’s word
It was the best we’ve heard
Right or wrong
We moved along
As we learned more

Take my hand
Let’s walk across the land
We’ll spread our love
As sent by heaven above
We’ll teach life lessons
That will become confessions
We’ll ultimately reveal
What our hearts can’t conceal
We’ll build every day
In our own special way
And stay in prayer
Cause God will be there

What our eyes see
Is truly meant to be
It was ordained by God
Acknowledge him with a wink and nod
We’ll be filled to the core
As God offers us more
Every step we take
Will be a memory we’ll make

They can inspire
They can fill the heart with desire
Right or wrong
Words can keep us strong
They can be spoken every day
In a very powerful way
They can reveal
What our hearts can’t conceal
And they can last
Despite a difficult past
Words can heal the soul
They can make life whole
They can be sweet
Where faith and God meet
They can be wise
And offer a surprise
They come from God
