I’ve traveled far and wide

Swam against the ocean’s tide

I’ve kept my heart free

Of what I thought couldn’t be

I’ve gone on journey after journey

Meant for me only

I’ve gone astray

While praying every day

I’ve gotten lost only to be found

God put me on solid ground

That’s as good as it gets

And I have no regrets

I’ve gone through the fire

To obtain what I desire

I’ve learned several lessons

That became confessions

I’ve been shamed

And I’ve been defamed

I’ve been scorned

And had my heart torn

I’ve faced naysayers

As I said my prayers

I’ve learned how to grow

By sharing what I know

That’s as good as it gets
