The battlefield is a journey

Meant for us only

We face it every day

All we have to do is pray

The battlefield is a test

That we’ll past like the rest

It may make us stumble

But experience will keep us humble

It may leave a scar

But the journey will take us far

Right or wrong

It will keep us strong

It contains our purpose

Lying at the surface

The battlefield is real

It’s something we can’t conceal

God provides strength

As we talk with Him at length

It contains seeds

That lead to good deeds

It will help us grow

As we share what we know

Through heartache and pain

We see what we’ll gain

And faith will be our shield

While we’re on the battlefield
