I stand before God without fear

I feel His arms holding me near

He soothes and comforts me

He shows me who I can be

He gives me strength

As we talk at length

He is the light

I follow day and night

He offers something pure

He makes me feel secure

And every moment we share

Is filled with tender loving care

I stand before God

With a soul that fills complete

This is where God and I meet

I see my purpose

Lying at the surface

I fall and rise again

But faith shows me how to win

I ignore my naysayers

As I say my prayers

God gives me every day

I cherish them in every way

He makes me smile
