Getting through each day

While praying along the way

Faith makes me see

What’s truly meant to be

I ask God for a reason why

He shows a purpose I can’t deny

I embark on a journey

Meant for me only

I learn valuable lessons

That become confessions

I gain strength

By talking with God at length

I feel something pure

It makes me feel secure

While I struggle with doubt

God works things out

I learn to sit still

As I accept God’s will

I continue on a path

Without suffering God’s wrath

I look around

At all I’ve found

I see there’s more to do

It feels like morning dew

I continue my race

At my own pace

I have no fear

Cause God almighty is near

He keeps me strong

Whether I’m right or wrong

I look at a hand

Right where I stand

I’m suddenly filled to the core

Then God offers me more

I begin to rejoice

As I listen to God’s voice

I see what I’ll gain

Despite heartache and pain

I know it’s real

Too difficult to conceal

I have peace of mind

That’s hard to find

Cause I’m still climbing
